MR MISTER ALIVE AND WELL IN MITCHELSTOWN
Rumours that a well known retail outlet in Mitchelstown is soon to close have been vigorously denied by local businessman, Val O’Gorman.
Mr O’Gorman told The Avondhu that his store, Mr Mister at New Square was definitely not closing.
“This rumour has been circulating for a number of weeks now and I feel we have to put an end to it before it begins to have a detrimental effect on our business. We are not closing down,” Val O’Gorman said. In fact, Val went on to say his retail outlet was ‘very busy’.
“We have a very popular sale on at the moment and we have just received a lot of new stock for the coming season, with boys Communion and Confirmation outfits also arriving. We will be supporting and sponsoring the local GAA club with jerseys once again this year and our suit hire business is very busy at the moment,” Mr O’Gorman continued.
Many unfounded rumours have caused concern also to other businesses in the area.
“There is a lot of doom and gloom around at the moment but starting rumours like these can, in fact, cause a customers to lose faith in a business. We need to stop talking ourselves down, we need to be positive for the future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their continued support and I look forward to seeing them all throughout 2011,” Val O’Gorman concluded.
