NEW HEALTH CENTRE SET FOR OPENING
The new Livinghealth Clinic in Mitchelstown will open to the public on this Monday, November 24. The Livingheath Centre will provide expanded and enhanced GP services and specialist nursing services.
The new centre brings together seven GPs from the Mitchelstown area under one roof representing an investment of €10 million in a 30,000sq.ft. state of the art building. Other services include hospital consultant led specialist services, surgical services, diagnostic services including x-ray and bone and density scanning.
An open day will be held on this Saturday, November 22 from 10am to 2pm, and, following a blessing by Father Michael Fitzgerald, the public will be then able to take a tour of the facilities at the centre. “The aim of the open day is to answer questions from the community and highlight how the Livinghealth Clinic can make a positive impact on the community,” said Dr Tom O’Callaghan, spokesperson for the clinic.
Dr O’Callaghan went on to say, “This is a very exciting day for our community as it sees the bringing to Mitchelstown best practice and experience from across the globe to provide new services here on our doorstep for which people would have had to travel previously.
“The Livinghealth Clinic will enhance the lives of people in the surrounding counties of Tipperary, Limerick and Cork with access to our full range of advanced diagnostic and specialist treatment services.
“We will be working closely with all the GPs in the region to ensure that there is equal access for their patients to any specialist service they may wish to avail of.”
