RAIDERS RANSACK MITCHELSTOWN PHONE SHOP
Raiders smashed through the front door of the Vodafone premises at Lower Cork Street, Mitchelstown at around 5am on Tuesday morning last causing major damage to the shop.
“A number of mobile phones were taken, three individuals were involved as CCTV coverage in the shop has shown,” a garda spokesperson told The Avondhu.
More damage was caused to the door of the adjoining premises, as it seems the raiders also tried to enter the residential area of the building.
“This is the second burglary at a retail premises in the town in two weeks. There has been substantial damage caused at the Vodafone outlet and we are calling on anyone who saw anything suspicious or has any information to contact the gardai at Mitchelstown,” the garda spokesperson concluded.
