RECENT ELECTIONS
In more Mitchelstown Community Council news Mr Kieran Duggan has been elected to represent the residents of Area L.
“I would like to welcome Mr Duggan to the community council. There will be another election coming up for Area H, which is Glenduff, Skeheen and Skeheen Upper as well as Curraghavoe on October 18. The ballots will be collected on October 21 and the count will take place on October 23. We are hoping to hold one more election before Christmas,” Michael White said.
Worked hard Marie Sheehan, chairperson of the elections committee congratulated all the new members of the community council.
“I want to thank all the members who worked so hard during the last elections and also during the counts that followed,” Marie said.
Compliments were also extended to the members for all the hard work that was carried out on the White Bridge.
“This work was long needed and I want to thank all the members who took part,” Joe Fitzgerald, chairman of the works committee said.
The community council also congratulated the Mitchelstown junior football team on their recent success and wished them all the best for the semi-final. There was also a vote of sympathy to the families of all those who have passed to their eternal reward recently.
