SPORTING JOY FOR LISMORE AND MITCHELSTOWN
Munster champions Blackwater Community School, Lismore senior hurlers added the All Ireland senior ‘B’ colleges title amidst joyous scenes at Rathoath, Co Meath last Sunday, to add to the camogie title already in the trophy room.
Meanwhile, in Mitchelstown it was celebration time for the U16 girls of Park United Schoolboys/Girls who clinched the division 1 league title with an away 2-0 victory over Youghal.
This was a historic first for the Mitchelstown club founded in 1975 – the first girls team to secure league honours and silverware.
