STICKING POINTS REMAIN FOR SOME DAIRY FARMERS IN NEW DAIRYGOLD MILK SUPPLY CONTRACT
A number of sticking points remain among members of the group calling themselves the ‘Concerned Dairygold Suppliers Group’ regarding the new milk supply contract, with group members even questioning the need for a contract in the first place.
Some 50 or more Dairygold milk suppliers protested at the co-op’s plant in Mitchelstown on Friday last. They’re urging other suppliers not to sign the new contracts and asking those that have already done so to withdraw their signature.
The group has sought and received legal advice on their points of concern and have urged other suppliers to do the same.
