Christmas is almost here and to conclude the church’s 175th anniversary we are holding a fabulous community Christmas Tree festival not to be missed. Entitled “Journey to Bethlehem” the festival will tell the Christmas Story in a unique & enchanting way.
More than 40 trees will be decorated by local schools, community groups, & businesses. From 6” foot natural fir trees, to sculpted ones made from books, tyres and other materials, each will tell, with a Bible Verse, a part of the Christmas story. The trees will include the Shepherd’s Tree, the Journey Tree, the Good News Tree, & the Angel’s Tree. I hope hundreds of people from both near & far will come & enjoy this cross- community spectacular. It’s a new way of retelling the Christmas Story in such a unique & wonderful way! Save the dates & come along & help & invite others to it. Friday 4th Dec between 10am- 9pm; Saturday 5th Dec 10am-9pm; and on Sunday 6th Dec 2pm- 8pm. Admission is FREE but donations are welcome in aid of festival expenses and the Storehouse (foodbank)
Teas and coffees will be available.
