Following on from their sell-out success with The Magic Flute this winter, Opera Theatre Company return with Claudio Monteverdi's Baroque masterpiece Orfeo. Although over 400 years old, the exquisite music and dramatic power of this earliest operatic gem remains undiminished.
With a powerful cast including Oliver Mercer, Daire Halpin and Sadhbh Dennedy, Orfeo is directed by Ben Barnes and will be sung in English, with Music Director Monica Huggett leading the Irish Baroque Orchestra, Joe Vanek on set design and John Comiskey on lighting.
