VENUE: THE TOWER DINN RI Paul Brady performed as a member of Planxty before a very successful solo career which encompasses writing songs recorded by Tina Turner, teaching Bob Dylan a ballad or two, and playing with John Prine, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton and Bonnie Raitt - and almost every musician of note in Ireland at one point or another.
Over the years, Paul's live shows have thrilled audiences worldwide. Renowned for his haunting ballad 'The Island,' Paul's fan-base defies age and demographic, but has come to know that being in the company of the solo Brady on stage is the best way to experience his music.
His last album 'Hooba Dooba' is "by far (his) most assured and deepest album since the seminal Hard Station" Hot Press.
He will be drawing on his new material and old favorites for this performance - his first in Carlow for over 10 years - in a seated, intimate, concert for just 300 very fortunate people. And there is a new album in the pipeline.
