Welcome to Donabate, County Dublin

Donabate (Dún a' Bháid) town lies about 25 km north of Dublin City centre on the Donabate peninsula.

Donabate has a fine historical "Big House and Estate" at Newbridge Demesne, which was built for Archbishop Cobbe in 1736. Donabate Railway Station is located in the centre of the town, which is on the Dublin-Belfast line.

A FINGAL nurse who gave a lifetime of service to patients in the Mater Private Hospital has retired. Maureen McGarvey of Jordanstown, Oldtown spent 40 years working as a Night Sister and more recently a nurse in both the old and new Mater Private hospitals.
