String Orchestra from Thomas S. Hart Middle School from the USA
The Thomas Hart Middle school from Pleasanton, east of San Francisco, USA, is travelling to Ireland with 3 ensembles - Wind Ensemble, String Orchestra, and Jazz Band, conducted by Denis Aquilina. The School prides itself on traveling and performing at venues that give the students the opportunity to share their music with an audience outside of their home in Pleasanton California.
Their Instrumental Music program has performed at Carnegie Hall, in Washington D.C. at the Lincoln Memorial, and Jefferson Memorial, Jackson Square in New Orleans and also at Disneyland, and the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. They have performed the National Anthem at the Washington Nationals, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants and Oakland A’s Baseball games. The Jazz Band has performed at the House Of Blues in Chicago and New Orleans, and B.B. Kings in NYC.
During their Ireland tour they will start with their first performance in Galway at the Town Hall Theater, followed by the St. Mary’s Cathedral Limerick, they perform during the Riverfest at the Arthur’s Quay Park in Limerick, at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin and at St. Paul’s College in Dublin.
